Work the office party – literally!

Enjoy yourself but remember this is a work setting. Everyone has heard cringe-worthy accounts of drink-induced frankness, snogging under the mistletoe and other festive faux-pas, so don’t do anything that could negatively affect your reputation or damage your career prospects within the organisation.

Even if your colleagues, including your boss, are behaving badly, resist all temptations to join in. Remain polite to everyone and speak to people who you would like to get to know better – office parties are a fantastic opportunity to start building new and lasting professional relationships.
